Meet The Team
THEODORE AKEM
Theodore Akem has over 16 years work experience with people with special needs. He holds a qualification in Finance, Health and social care and Autism. He is passionate about supporting and helping people to better and change their lives as they deem necessary. Doing this in a work environment and helping people with special needs to become independent, motivated him to become a volunteer for BS4C to replicate these practices to others in the community. He derives great joy in making his contribution to the wellbeing of people and the community.
BLAISE TOHMO
Blaise is a CQC registered Care home manager with over 15 years in the Health and Social Care sector, with most of his work within NHS settings. He has a very positive outlook to life, is empathetic, down to earth, trustworthy and loyal to his work. He is friendly and approachable with a great sense of humour and fun to be around. Family, community values and building strong relationships is very important to him and he believes we are stronger together. These are the traits he brings into volunteering at BS4C.
THECLA ANYA
Thecla is a qualified Social Worker with years of experience working in the Social Care sector. She has worked with young people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and she is passionate about enabling young people to develop into responsible citizens through setting realistic goals and improving on their self-esteem. Thecla holds a BA in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Communication, a Post graduate diploma in Finance and an MSc in Social Works. In addition, she is a wife and mother to 3 boys and therefore understands issues affecting boys such as peer pressure. Thecla has been volunteering for over 18 years now with various organisations.
VITALIS TANTEH
Vitalis is a seasoned public health advocate with experience in youth work, reproductive health and learning disability. He holds a BSc in Journalism and Mass Communication with over 15 years’ experience at managerial level. He is passionate about volunteering, which he believes is the springboard to every meaningful community growth and relationships.
